Carol plays violin (seconds) with the small, friendly Performance Ensemble at St. Anne’s Limehouse, the full orchestra, conducted by Uyen-Khac Nguyen (music director, Verdandi Camerata,Southwark Sinfonia Orchestra, Royal Academy of Music educated) which gives four concerts a year. Repertoire has included Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, Bach’s Double Violin Concerto, Handel’s Concerto Grosso Op 1 No 6, Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto, Beethoven’s Symphony No 5, Mozart’s Violin Concerto No 5, Locatelli’s Op 8 No 1, Prokofiev, Puccini.
Carol also sings (1st sops) with the 60-strong Portsmouth Festival Choir conducted by Peter Allwood (conductor, composer, Kings, Cambridge, past Director of Music, Christ Hospital), the choir performs mostly at Portsmouth Anglican Cathedral & Portsmouth Guildhall as well as in other countries and British venues, Oxford Colleges in September, 2014. Recognised as one of the top Choral groups in the region, the choir gives at least three major concerts annually, joined by professional soloists, orchestral musicians and accompanists. Its aim is to provide a stimulating musical experience for its members and for its audience in the Portsmouth & Hampshire area.
